Our Solution

Working within the elements of BigCommerce, we were able to use striking imagery and proportionate page elements to deliver a user interface that spoke of Craster’s brand upon initial page view.

Matter Design & Digital sat with Craster to understand the key requirements for the new build. We built out a simple tech stack to identify key systems integrations needed to achieve a seamless e-commerce experience for Craster’s customers. 

Key performance indicators

  • The user flow design incorporates a ‘Shop the Look’ section where users can refer to imagery to guide them on their purchase decision

  • The PDP offers an ‘Add to My Projects’ so users can locate their favourite products simply by accessing the main navigation at any time

  • The mega menu is structured to categorise the products by range, product type and finish so that the user can navigate products with ease

  • PDPs display related products as well as products from the same range so that users can find relevant products to add to their cart

  • UI/UX interaction/animations were created to display the modelling of specific products

Our results

Craster's website now offers an advanced quoting system that allows customers to easily create and manage quotes directly from the platform.

This 'Quote List' feature functions like a checkout process, seamlessly transmitting information to BigCommerce as unpaid orders. Subsequently, the system employs webhooks to monitor new orders, efficiently passing processing tasks to the Acumatica ERP.

Additionally, to address the needs of customers like hotel chains, we implemented the 'My Projects' functionality. This section empowers users to create and manage multiple projects, facilitating the selection and curation of products for each unique space. Leveraging BigCommerce's 'Wishlist' capability and browser history saving, users can seamlessly track their selected items without losing their progress.

The integration of WordPress into Craster's website provides a user-friendly platform for managing the 'News' and 'Case Studies' sections. This custom connection between BigCommerce and WordPress enables seamless content pushing and display, allowing the Craster team to easily update and share relevant information.

To accommodate Craster's diverse product range, which includes various attributes such as color, finishes, and sizes, detailed product variants were implemented. The Product Display Page (PDP) now effectively showcases each product variant, allowing users to select options and view corresponding product images. This functionality is powered by BigCommerce's 'Options and SKUs' feature.

Furthermore, the customised 'Shop the Look' section enhances the shopping experience by grouping similar products according to their functions or decor. Users now have the convenience of adding all products from this section directly to their quote, streamlining the purchasing process for Craster's customers.
